Meet The Team

Karen

Office Manager

Karen began her career in the dental field over 30 years ago as a dental assistant. After decades of hands-on experience, she transitioned to the front desk and now serves as the office manager—a role she truly enjoys.

Outside of the office, Karen is a dedicated wife, mother to two children and two stepchildren, and a proud pet parent to several beloved fur babies. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending quality time with her family. Her coworkers especially look forward to Mondays, when she often shares her delicious homemade baked goods with the team.

Tammy

Tammy is a 1988 graduate of Northwestern Michigan College, holding an Associate of Science degree in Dental Assisting. In 2012, she furthered her expertise by completing the Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) program at York County Community College in Maine. This advanced training enables her to perform a broader range of reversible dental procedures under the direct supervision of a dentist, enhancing her ability to support comprehensive patient care .Outside of her professional life, Tammy cherishes time spent with her granddaughter and family. She enjoys outdoor activities, particularly horseback riding, which allows her to connect with nature and stay active.

Therese

Therese is a 1981 graduate of Bangor Community College who launched her dental assisting career 44 years ago right here in East Millinocket. Known affectionately by some as someone who “comes with the building,” Therese is a familiar and trusted face to generations of patients.

Outside the office, Therese leads an active and family-focused life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two grandsons—often cheering from the sidelines at soccer games or exploring the outdoors through hiking, snow shoeing and kayaking. A lifelong Boston Celtics fan, Therese is especially enthusiastic when the team is winning!

Valerie

Valerie earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maine at Augusta in 2014. After beginning her career in Southern Maine, she chose to return to her hometown to be closer to family. Valerie is passionate about educating her patients on optimal oral health practices and takes great joy in helping them achieve and maintain healthy smiles.

Outside of her professional life, Valerie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their young son, Caden. The family loves outdoor activities such as walking, boating, snowmobiling, and exploring various other adventures together.
